How to Remove a Celica Hatchback

- 1). Open the hatch. Position your assistants so that they can hold up the tailgate.
- 2). Remove the metal clips securing the shocks on the hatch to the inside of the trunk using the flathead screwdriver. Pull the shocks off of the trunk and let them hang loose while your assistants support the weight of the hatch.
- 3). Unplug the wiring to the hatch located in the gutter between the hatch and the roof using your hands. Unbolt the hatch hinges from the hatch using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket.
- 4). Lift the hatch up off of the Celica and pull it away from the car.
