The University of St. Thomas is a private, Catholic university located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. St. Thomas is the largest private university in the state, and it offers undergraduates more than 85 fields of study. The school ranks highly among Midwest colleges, and it can boast of a 15 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 21. The undergraduate curriculum has a liberal arts core.

The university is a member of a consortium with four other private liberal arts colleges in the Twin Cities: Augsburg, Hamline, Macalester, and St. Catherine. In athletics, the St. Thomas Tommies compete in the NCAA Division III Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
